THE INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS
SPEAK
Anthony CohenThere is a massive, necessary struggle within the whole Wellness sector at the moment, where we are struggling for balance.
The cannabis industry in South Africa is being held down, it's being held at ransom and throttled by legislation currently meted out by a captured SAHPRA, our medical regulatory body conservator. They have not engaged and state that they have no intention to engage with any of the cannabis industry players to understand the cannabis space or what we need as regulations.

We all know that before regulations are passed, you're supposed to engage with stakeholders within industry. It feels to me that the health regulators in this country are of the opinion that they have autonomous rule and are not answerable to the sector over which they govern.

When it comes to CBD, I say let’s talk about full spectrum. CBD has no associated health risks. There are no reported deaths or horrific side-effects, anywhere in the world.

Regarding full spectrum CBD, THC has no reported deaths anywhere, yet far more dangerous medications are freely available off counter and off shelf, with side-effects like anorexia, organ failure and death!
There seems to be a huge sway to protect the medicines, industry, and big pharma.
They are even going so far as to enforce dosages so low as to be almost completely ineffective. We know that full spectrum CBD, is a true supplement to the body's own endocannabinoid system. If one has a stomach than one should eat. If one has an endocannabinoid system, one should feed it. It is a vital natural supplement, it's not a medicine. It's the same as food and water.
The real battle is in educating the consumer on the difference between full spectrum and isolate and natural versus synthetic product.

Once you have a basic understanding of these concepts the products speak for themselves.

Once you start taking CBD and can feel the change in your general health and wellbeing, you will not be able to deny it. Cannabis has been recorded as part of the human diet for over 10,000 years, now suddenly we need to register this as a medicine. Since when are they stepping in between us and our natural ability to access the natural world?

We, as society need to push back at these regulators that are trying to stop us from accessing, not only cannabis, CBD and THC, but the entire natural plant medicines sector is under threat. Yes, we should have some sort of standard that makes sure it's safe. We also might need to make sure everybody can have access to it, and everybody should have access to making an income from it. This is not the case at the moment.

The CTAA is in partnership with the TNHA, who are fighting bigger and broader cases. We collaborate with them on a continuous basis to make sure that all South Africans have access to their God given rights regarding the plant world.
We work with incredible companies like Elixinol, having received a Health Leadership award from the TNHA (Traditional Natural Health Association) because of the way they are creating a healthier South Africa by introducing our nation to these incredible full spectrum products and leading the fight that make all the difference. We wholeheartedly support Elixinol’s 21 day CBD challenge, to prove to yourself how well your body works when it’s fed all the natural supplements it needs. Many have asked us how we can claim that a cannabis derived product can be such a valuable asset in your good health arsenal and how you can use a full spectrum product at work.

By now you should already know that cannabis is not a drug and CBD is not just THC.

With the hundreds of compounds making up the full spectrum of the CBD rainbow, THC (affectionately known as “the high compound”) is one very small part of that spectrum and is found only in trace amounts in our products, so you will not experience any unwanted psychoactive effects by using any CBD products.
CBD is not a cure or a medicine.
The minute you start to reintroduce missing elements into your daily diet your body just functions better.

Its capacity for healing and regeneration greatly improves and natural biological rhythms are under less strain and can perform as they are meant to. Within 21 days of regular use, CBD will have a noticeable impact on your quality of life and your body will feel better than it has in years.
We are working for a truly free and open market, where common sense prevails, the “little guy” has a chance to grow and our natural world isn’t regulated out from under us. Join the the CTAA as an individual and help with a R50 monthly donation.
Help us fight this captured organisation so that we can actually have our own rights.

Help yourself live a healthier, happier life, with access and opportunity for all.
